Use of Art Therapy Work Products &
Engage in Art Therapy & Confidentiality
I, as a program participant, hereby acknowledge that during the duration of the Twistshop program I will be sharing, and be a witness to the sharing of personal information of participants. I will respect the privacy and confidentiality of the participants within the workshop/webinar and not disclose any individual’s private information. It is my understanding that Twist Out Cancer will not reveal personal contact information or display my artwork for reasons outside of promoting/ sharing the mission of Twist Out Cancer.
I further give Twist Out Cancer permission to interview/photograph artwork created by me in a professional setting for the purpose of future marketing or education on the therapeutic use of art therapy. It is my understanding that my full legal name will not be revealed in any presentation or display of my artwork without my permission.
I release the contracted program facilitator, and Twist Out Cancer from any and all responsibility and liability which may result from my participation.
I understand that Twistshops programs are grounded in therapeutic art interventions and are not intended to provide formal group psychotherapy. I acknowledge that facilitators are not a substitute for professional therapy, clinical supervision, or medical advice, diagnosis or treatment and are not equipped to provide any intensive one-on-one support during group workshops. By participating in Twistshops programs, I agree that I am responsible for my own well-being and how I choose to engage with the materials. I understand that some prompts may bring up emotions. If I am in distress, I will notify the facilitator and/or remove myself from the program. If I require additional support, I will consult my own licensed mental health professional and/or seek immediate emergency help from local authorities or medical professionals.
Twist Out Cancer is committed to maintaining supportive, therapeutic and safe programs. As such, Twist Out Cancer reserves the right to remove a participant from a program or refuse services in the event that a participant’s participation compromises the health, safety or well-being of other participants or facilitators, or if a participant’s behavior is deemed harmful, disrespectful, disruptive or out of alignment with Twist Out Cancer’s values.
